Get to Know Us
Patch 46 is an annual fundraiser supporting the Scouting America units of Matthews Presbyterian Church. These include Cub Scout Pack 46 (youth in kindergarten through 5th grade), Troop 46 (boys aged 11-17) and Troop 146 (girls aged 11-17).
Scouting America’s mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. Our programs provide a safe and welcoming environment where youth can develop leadership skills, build the habit of service to others, and learn how to be prepared for life.
Scouts have always been encouraged to “earn their own way” and our community pumpkin patch provides an opportunity for them to do just that. In addition to providing necessary funds for things like uniforms, equipment and the cost of activities, the scouts learn self-reliance, personal responsibility, as well as time and money management while working the patch – all important life skills our youth need today.
For those interested in getting to know us better we encourage you to stop by a meeting sometime! Our Cub Scout Pack for all youth in kindergarten to 5th grade meets on Mondays, from 6:30pm-7:30pm (unless Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools are closed). Our boys and girls troops for ages 11-17 meet on Tuesdays from 7pm-8:30pm. All meetings take place at Matthews Presbyterian Church in Matthews, NC.
